You may have heard the term “hard water” prior and wondered what it exactly meant. Hard water generally refers to water in a home that contains a lot of calcium, magnesium,. or various other minerals within it. Now that you know what hard water is, how does it affect you and your family? Water softeners simply work by getting rid of calcium and magnesium ions within the water and replacing these ions with more desirable minerals such as sodium. It is so effective in that sodium will not cause pipe problems nor react with soap in a negative manner. Water softeners will not break the bank and will greatly put you at piece of mind. If you have been concerned about your water supply, consider contacting water softener San Antonio and finding out more information on this important and essential subject. (more…)
